Marco Berti is Associate Professor at NOVA SBE since September 2023. He has a rich international experience both as academic and practitioner. He was previously Associate Professor at UTS Business School, University of Technology Sydney (where he is still a visiting professor). Marco became a full time academic in 2015, after completing a doctorate in Organization studies at UTS. Previously, he had a 20+ years international career as a management consultant and executive trainer, specialized in organizational development and strategy. As a consultant, he served organisations in various industries (automotive, high-tech manufacturing, insurance, public sector, health care). He has designed and taught courses on organizational transformation management, teamwork and leadership, organizational innovation. Marco's research focuses on organizational complexity, including navigating tensions and paradoxes, organizational power dynamics, and on emergent forms of organizing. His research has been published in top academic journals and has published several books on topic such as leadership, organizational paradox management and organizational compassion.
