He has designed several educational projects, including the master's and doctoral programmes in Industrial Engineering and postgraduate courses in Project Management, Systematic Innovation, Lean&Green Management, Strategy and Leadership, and Entrepreneurship. His scientific interests centre on the integration of industrial management processes and innovation strategies. He has published more than 200 papers in scientific journals, supervised 20 PhD students and coordinated more than 80 research and consultancy projects. He was included in the list of "World's Top 2% Scientists (Stanford University)"; he was awarded the "Distinguished Academic Leadership Award" by the Industrial Engineering & Operations Management Society.
