Our Scientific Director Ana Balcão Reis has just published an article entitled "Tuition fees and access to Higher Education" ("Propinas e acesso ao Ensino Superior") in the Portuguese newspaper Observador.

This article, only available in Portuguese, explores the benefits and drawbacks associated with reducing or eliminating tuition fees for Bachelor's degrees as well as the impact that this measure could actually have on families. It also brings back to the discussion dimensions that are deemed fundamental which may impact a student's entry into Higher Education in this discussion, such as transportation costs, living costs, among other factors.
