Awards | 22 September 2026 CEMS Master's in International Management, Taught in Portugal by Nova SBE, Renews 4th Place Worldwide in QS Ranking

The CEMS Master's in International Management (CEMS MIM) – an alliance that brings together 33 of the world's leading business schools and of which Nova SBE is the only Portuguese member – has once again secured 4th place worldwide in the prestigious Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) 2026 Master's in Management (MIM) ranking.

The CEMS program achieved an overall score of 95.2 out of 100 (up from 92.7 in the previous edition). This result not only reinforces the CEMS MIM's position among the world's leading Management programs but also demonstrates the strength of the collaborative model connecting the 33 schools, companies, and social organizations that make up the CEMS Alliance.

With results above the global average across the five groups of indicators analyzed – return on investment (99.4 compared to the global average of 61.1), academic reputation (92.7 compared to 49.5), employer reputation (91.6 compared to 48.8), alumni career outcomes (89.7 compared to 48.2), and student and faculty diversity (82.4 compared to 63.4) – the results clearly reflect the international scope and academic quality of the CEMS Alliance.

In addition to the recognition from the QS Rankings, the CEMS MIM program has continued to receive outstanding results in the Financial Times rankings. In the 2026 edition of the Master's in Management rankings, the Financial Times once again highlighted that CEMS Alliance alumni earn, on average, 15% higher salaries three years after graduation than graduates of other business schools. CEMS alumni also recorded greater salary growth and a higher likelihood of achieving their professional goals compared to the global average.

An International Model of Management Education

The CEMS Global Alliance brings together 33 leading business schools across six continents, more than 70 companies, and eight social organizations. These entities collaborate to deliver the CEMS MIM.

Combining academic excellence, international exposure, and practical experience, the program enables students to engage with different people, cultures, languages, educational philosophies, and business practices. Throughout this journey, students receive support to develop professional and personal skills and become multilingual, ethical leaders prepared to work in international environments.

As part of the program, students study at least two of the 33 schools within the Alliance, develop a business project proposed by one of the corporate or social partners, and complete an international internship. This model contributes to strong professional outcomes: among recent graduates, 95% have already worked outside their home country, and 76% work for multinational companies.
