Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) has been awarded the new Eduniversal’s 5 Palmes Emeritus distinction, already reflected in the “Best Business Schools 2025” ranking. This recognition is granted to higher education institutions that maintain the highest level of global recognition for more than ten consecutive years, surpassing the existing 5 Palmes of Excellence distinction.
Eduniversal is an international organization that evaluates and ranks business schools worldwide based on their reputation, influence, and impact in management education. Until 2025, schools were organized into five levels of recognition: the Palmes of Excellence. Since 2013, Nova SBE has held the highest-level distinction (5 Palmes of Excellence), becoming the first business school in Portugal to join this exclusive group of leading global institutions.
As of 2025, Eduniversal introduced a sixth level in its ranking system, adding the 5 Palmes Emeritus distinction. This recognition is reserved for a very select group of higher education institutions – only 89 worldwide – that has maintained the highest level of recognition for more than a decade. Schools are distinguished based on their academic excellence, as well as their impact and relevance within their respective countries and in the global management of education landscape.
In this 18th edition, Nova SBE was once again highlighted for its strong international reputation in higher education and for its influence on Portugal’s global positioning in this sector. Key indicators supporting this performance include a high employability rate and a strong presence of international faculty, contributing to a multicultural academic environment, and preparing students for global professional contexts.
