Access to campus

The campus is open 24/7, closing only for Christmas, New Year’s Day, and May 1

Due to the pandemic, access to campus is currently exclusive to Nova SBE students, staff, and faculty. It is required that all members of the community always visibly carry their Nova SBE ID cards. Visitors must go to the Welcome Desk in the Hovione Atrium to obtain a visitor's card.

These rules are subject to change in order to comply with regulations from the Portuguese Government. All changes will be communicated through regular channels.

Campus

COVID OUT

The school is prepared to welcome the entire Nova SBE community safely and in compliance with all health standards, as we have been awarded the "COVID-OUT" stamp (COVID OUT - Grupo ISQ – Portuguese version only). This certification is awarded by ISQ (a Portuguese entity that ensures quality control in many sectors) and ensures that the processes that allow the control of transmission of SARS-CoV-2 are effective. It also certifies that all locations on campus are safe by monitoring and implementing the campus reopening/back-to-normal plan.

Campus accessibility

The campus has many signs indicating the best practices regarding circulation. Elevators will be exclusive for people with reduced mobility. The stairs should be the first option.

Access to the Via Verde Parking is working as per usual. Visitors should look for the Zone A access while in the parking, which leads to the Hovione Atrium, where the Welcome Desk is located.

Campus Services

Nova SBE faculty, staff, and students can freely use the common spaces to study and work if the campus' maximum capacity (now strictly reduced) is respected.

Study rooms will be announced at the beginning of each month. They are meant for individual study, in silence.

The CTT Student Hall will also remain exclusive for individual study, in silence.

The ends of each Academic Hall (buildings B & D) are also equipped with furniture, for group work/study.

The Teresa e Alexandre Soares dos Santos Library is open (9.00 am – 8.00 pm, Monday to Friday). Booking a seat or computer terminal in advance is highly recommended. Check the booking system here.

This space is for the exclusive use of the Nova SBE community and is intended for individual study.

Computer terminals – Computer terminals at the Teresa e Alexandre Soares dos Santos Library will remain accessible. You will have disinfectant wipes to disinfect all the objects before and after use. With this, we want you to feel comfortable about the disinfection of the objects you use.

To take full advantage of these services, the only thing the Nova SBE community needs to do is check its working hours and continue respecting the Five Golden Rules while enjoying its meals.

Bringing home-cooked meals and having lunch in the Main Deck's food court area is also an option, as long as you always keep a safe distance. Microwaves are spread in different areas to avoid gatherings.
