António Alvarenga is a professor, international consultant, and researcher specializing in the areas of Foresight/Foresight, Scenario Planning, Innovation, and Strategy.
He is the Founder and CEO of the consultancy ALVA R & C and Invited Associate Professor at Nova SBE (collaborates on Master's and Executive education programs). He worked in training processes with + 5000 C-Level executives and managers, and in consultancy / mentoring with + 100 organizations.
He holds a PhD in Management Science (Lyon 3), a degree in Economics (FEP, Porto), a Master in European Economic Studies (College of Europe – Bruges), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategy (ISCSP). He has extensive experience leading projects and designing/facilitating workshops and training sessions in Strategic Foresight, Scenarios, Ideation and Trend Analysis/Scanning methods.
He integrates the CEG-IST – Center for Management Studies of the Instituto Superior Técnico (University of Lisbon) - as a researcher, and is also an associate researcher at the IHC-Institute of Contemporary History (FCSH – Universidade NOVA de Lisboa). He has contributed to books and publications in leading national and international journals, such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Foresight, The International Journal of Management Science and International Journal for Equity in Health.
