Tim Eisert’s work focuses on understanding the role of financial institutions and monetary policy in ensuring market and corporate stability, exploring how financial decisions shape the real economy and risk cycles.
Combining theoretical and empirical research, Tim provides executives with an evidence-based perspective on how financial markets operate and how macroeconomic forces influence investment and financing decisions. His approach enables leaders and decision-makers to understand better the risks and opportunities in a rapidly changing global economy.
Before joining Nova SBE, where he is a professor of Finance and a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), Tim taught at the Erasmus School of Economics in Rotterdam and was a visiting researcher at New York University’s Stern School of Business.
His research has advanced the understanding of key topics such as financial intermediation, monetary policy, and corporate governance in both financial and non-financial institutions and has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, and Management Science.
Tim Eisert challenges leaders and organizations to approach the complexity of financial markets with critical thinking and strategic vision, enabling them to interpret economic signals, anticipate risks, and turn financial uncertainty into competitive advantage and sustainable value creation.
