The conference Is Grade Repetition Beneficial for Students? was organized by Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos and took place in Lisbon, Portugal, on the 26th of October 2016. The central theme of the conference was the presentation of a study by Luis Catela Nunes, Ana Balcão Reis and Carmo Seabra on whether low performing students benefit from repeating a grade. It was followed by a debate with the participation of Adelino Calado, José Verdasca and Isabel Flores and was moderated by Carlos Fiolhais.
