The aim of the “Improving Quality of Care in Europe” program is to improve the quality and performance of European #healthcare systems.
The program is a European Training Network (ETN) conducted by 7 academic partners who belong to the largest and most prestigious health economic centers in Europe and each partner will take the lead in the respective area of strength.
There are 15 PhD positions that will be funded by the Horizon 2020 Program of the European Commission and the successful candidates will receive a salary.
The exact salary will be confirmed upon appointment and is dependent on the country correction factor (to allow for the difference in cost of living in different EU Member States) and it includes a living allowance, a mobility allowance and a family allowance (if married).
The guaranteed PhD funding is for 36 months and in addition to the individual scientific projects, all fellows will benefit from continuing education, which includes internships and secondments, a variety of training modules as well as transferable skills courses and active participation in workshops and conferences.
Nova SBE as a partner in this European Training Network (ETN) will receive 2 PhD students under the supervision of Prof. Pedro Pita Barros with the following themes: “Competition and quality of care in primary care” and “Impact of economic crisis on health, quality of care and demand”.
