Dear Alumni,

We are currently at an important crossroads, as the school is preparing to take a decision that will determine its future, and we would like this decision to be taken together with our Alumni community. As you may already know, Nova has been working toward building a new campus in Cascais, near Forte St. Julião da Barra.

This new campus will allow us to further improve our high quality teaching, which has been recognized internationally, both in rankings and in the number and caliber of the international students, and to add another attractive factor: a unique geographic location by the sea, distinctive on a European scale. We believe that this combination of factors will further distinguish our school among the best in Europe.

The first results of this new project are coming soon: a number of architectural projects were presented on the 4th of June. We invite you to come see the models, on exhibit at Nova until the end of this month (invitation attached). Your contribution is crucial to our decision!

In addition, I am pleased to inform you that Nova SBE has recently created a department of Corporate & Alumni Relations, seeking to create a true network between the Alumni and boost your relationship with the school. This newsletter, which will be published quarterly, is the first result of the action plan for this department. This team, led by Fernando Soares (BA 2008), is always available to support you, receive your feedback, and is permanently attentive to suggestions for new challenges.
