Research Unit

Nova SBE Research Unit integrates the three basic disciplinary areas - Economics, Finance, and Management – and all its researchers into a single unit with cross-disciplinary orientation that recognizes the variety and multiplicity of research taking place in the school.

The Research Unit constitutes a hub of knowledge, articulating its activity in order to produce research on the most pressing economic and financial issues that will have a lasting impact on public policies and structural reforms, producing distinctive expertise on the entrepreneurial process, emerging economies, and sustainable economies, businesses, and societies.

The Nova SBE Research Unit has been under the scrutiny of external evaluations conducted by international panels. In every assessment Nova SBE’s research was awarded the grade “Excellent”.

The Research Unit is headed by the President of the Faculty Council Miguel Pina e Cunha and managed by an Executive Director:
