EDUNIVERSAL: Masters in Economics of Nova SBE rises to Top 4 in Europe

The Masters of Economics of Nova School of Business and Economics achived the 4th place in Europe – just after schools like Copenhagen Business School, London School of Economics and Oxford Said -  in the EDUNIVERSAL ranking published yesterday. The selection of the international agency for higher education (EDUNIVERSAL) also classified the offer of masters and specializations of Nova SBE as the best in Portugal and among the best in Europe and in the world.

In addition to the Masters of Economics, Nova SBE Programs in Finance and Management were distinguished by EDUNIVERSAL in 10th and 16th place, respectively, in the European Top, consolidating the international recognition of the school's offer and its leadership in Portugal and in Europe.

According to Professor Steffen Hoernig, Academic Director for the Masters in Economics, "these results confirm that we are developing a high quality education based on everyday work and a constant improvement effort. We will continue to show that we are able to be listed in the most important European and world rankings as these results demonstrate”. And he adds, reinforcing the message of Professor Daniel Traça, Dean of Nova SBE, "we are increasingly closer to the realization of our project in Carcavelos and these results show that it is possible to develop high quality teaching in Portugal, based on a working culture and meritocracy".

The other programs and specializations of our school have also achieved the best national results and outstanding international positions in each one of its areas: 6th place for specializations in Human Resources Management; 8th place for specialization in Accounting and Financial Reporting; 11th place for Marketing; 12th place in the world for specialization in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, among others.

The EDUNIVERSAL ranking also evaluated the MBA shared by Nova SBE with Católica Lisbon - The Lisbon MBA - assigning the full-time and part-time formats the 19th and 29th place respectively.

The results published yesterday, corroborate the rankings of Nova SBE Masters: the Masters in Management and Finance, which are ranked in the Top 20 worldwide in the Financial Times rankings.

Nova SBE is the only school in Portugal ranked with 5 palms among the 1000 best business schools in the world and for the 4th consecutive year, Nova SBE achieves the status of "Universal Business School".
